PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project consists of the construction of an approximately 114,000 gsf apartment style student housing facility adjacent to the recently constructed Wildwood Halls. Each apartment should include two bedrooms, one bathroom, a living area and a kitchen area. While the new building should complement the existing halls, it may need to be six floors to achieve the desired bed count. The bed count should be maximized, with no less than 275 beds.
The contract may include the demolition of the International Center building. The new facility must be completed by May 2012.
PROJECT BUDGET
The project budget is $30,300,000, of which the construction budget is approximately $25,100,000.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Firms will be evaluated in the following areas: experience and ability, including successful completion of related projects, past experience, past performance, bonding capacity, preconstruction services experience including value engineering and detailed estimating, design ability, construction services experience including record keeping/administrative ability, critical path scheduling expertise, cost control ability, quality control capability, qualifications of the firms' personnel, staff and consultants.

GENERAL INFORMATION
- All applicants will be notified of the results of the short listing via the FSU Office of Facilities Design & Construction website: www.fpc.fsu.edu. Interview times for finalists will be posted at this website address, as well.
- The Selection Committee will make a recommendation to the University President. Final ranking of firms will be posted on the Facilities Design & Construction web site. Upon approval by the President, negotiations will be conducted in accordance with Section 287.055, Florida Statutes.
