PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project consists of the design and construction of three new classroom buildings, containing four classrooms in each building and totaling approximately 20,058 gsf. The buildings will be strategically located on the existing school campus, which is located at 3000 School House Road, Tallahassee, FL, 32311.
PROJECT BUDGET
Funding for this project will be phased, with an initial project amount for Phase I of $5,000,000, of which approximately $3,989,000 will be used for construction. Funding for Phase II of the project is estimated to be approximately $8,000,000. The construction management team will be selected to perform professional services on Phase I of the project, and upon the satisfactory performance of services for Phase I, and at the discretion of the owner, their agreement may be amended to include the performance of services for subsequent phases of the project. The selected firm will be required to have bonding capacity for Phases I and II of the project.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Firms will be evaluated in the following areas: experience and ability, including successful completion of related projects, past experience, past performance, bonding capacity, preconstruction services experience including value engineering and detailed estimating, construction, construction services experience including record keeping/administrative ability, critical path scheduling expertise, cost control ability, quality control capability, qualifications of the firms' personnel, staff and consultants.

GENERAL INFORMATION
- All applicants will be notified of the results of the short listing via the FSU Office of Facilities Design & Construction website: www.fpc.fsu.edu. Interview times for finalists will be posted at this website address, as well.
- The Selection Committee will make a recommendation to the University President. Final ranking of firms will be posted on the Facilities Design & Construction web site. Upon approval by the President, negotiations will be conducted in accordance with Section 287.055, Florida Statutes.
